Welcome back Matt Cain

Coming of the D.L Matt returns to the office tonight with Trevor Brown in the squat.

It’s been a frustrating start to the second half of the season as the boys are still hunting for their first win after the mid-season break.

Bottom of the 1st and Cain walked Big Papi, Boston takes the lead on a home run over the right field fence. 2 to 0 Red Sox lead. A solo shot makes it a 3 to 0 Boston lead. (this is sad already),

Boston extends their lead to 5 to 0 with another 2 run homer off Matt Cain, who has left the office. Suarez found the office keys that Cain left. A triple clears the bases and take the lead to 6 to 0 in boston’s favor.  No matter what our boys throw, the Red Sox are hitting it.

The Giants have Crawford at 1st and Posey at 2nd who reached on a walk. Mac Williamson with a 3 run homer to cut the lead to 8 to 3. Green with a single and still no one is out. Trevor Brown getting in on the action with a 2 run homer of his own for an 8 to 5 Boston lead. Pena makes 1st on an infield single,Span with a great bunt and he is safe at 1st.

Top of 5th and Brown with a 2 out single to left. Green scored on a Pena infield single. Brown is home on a Span single cutting the lead to 1, boston 8 and Giants 7.

Top of 6th and Belt and Posey both on with singles. Crawford walked to load the pond. Double play view, is the Giant runner out at home? ( review stands, runner is out),

Ramirez with his 3rd homer of the night to take the Boston lead back to 10 to 7.

Another Red Sox solo homer taking the score to 11 to 7 in the bottom of the 7th.

Final score

Boston Red Sox – 11 and San Francisco – 9

Giants with the day off before they head to New York for a weekend series with the Yankees
