Jake in the Office

thinking - CopyJake is in the office facing the San Diego Padres. Former White Sox Alex Ramirez is playing shortstop for the Padres.

I missed the first 5 pitches but Jake looked settled and ready for a great day.

With the help of a double play, Jake had a great 1,2,3, inning

The first run scored for the Giants in the bottom of the second, 1 to 0

Top of the 3rd, Jake got his 2nd strike out and the confidence is slowly starting to grow.

Top of the 4th and Jake’s pitch count stands at 40. I’m being cautious but so far its a good outing. Jake has kept the giants to just 4 hits.

My confidence is growing that this will finally be the outing that Jake needs. He is working well, confident, taking a little breath between throws to calm himself.

Top of 6th and a 62 pitch count, if Jake can keep settled, he can go to the 8th inning maybe. Jake walks off from that inning with a smile on his face. He has cruise control on.

The Padres are not paying attention and making those little mental mistakes and the Giants are taking advantage of it. They got back the run that crossed before Jake left, its 3 to 1 in the bottom of the 7th inning

Osich you idiot, walked the first batter and then just gave up a home run. all that work Jake did is now at a 3 all tie. thanks for nothing buddy.

It took til the bottom of the 10th inning for the Giants to finally put together another great win, stealing this one 4 to 3.

Jake didn’t get the win but it was a great outing. So much positive to hold on to. The boys have a day off before the boys head out on the road with the first stop in Colorado.
